Working together with others, in groups and teams, is an increasingly common and important part of business and life today. High-performing teams are characterized by the use of collective intelligence. Collective intelligence refers to the ability of members of a team, group or organization to think and act in an aligned and coordinated manner.

The result of effective collective intelligence is called generative collaboration. Generative Collaboration is about people working together to create or generate something new, surprising, and beyond the individual capabilities of each member of the group.
